Handl Defense introduces the Handl Defense 7.62×39 Caliber Conversion Kit for the FN SCAR® 17S and Mk.17 type rifles. This is a complete caliber conversion kit, which includes all the components to change calibers. The Handl Defense 7.62×39 Caliber Conversion is another product from our Mk.17/ Mk.20 Enhancement Program. It is a Handl Defense product expanding the capability of the FN SCAR® and Mk 17 type rifles.
This caliber conversion consists of a fully complete Trigger Module with a Geissele trigger that is compatible with COM BLOC 7.62×39 magazines. Made from 7075 T-6 Aluminum, the Handl Defense Mk 17 – AK is a complete “plug and play” trigger module. This completely re-engineered component allows 7.62×51 rifles for conversion to 7.62×39 and 5.45×39 calibers.
The 7.62×39 Caliber Conversion Kit also includes a reverse OEM compatible quick change 7.62×39 barrel shrouded in the exclusive Handl Defense Carbon Fiber Fore Rail. These barrel assemblies are available in lengths of 13″ and 16″.
All of the accessories needed to convert your FN SCAR® 17S or Mk.17 type rifles to 7.62×39 are in the kit, easily marked and ready to go.
This Caliber Conversion has been developed to the standards of the Mk.17/ Mk.20 CAR-H program. The trigger module is part of the Handl Defense Mk.17/ Mk.20 enhancement program intended for USSOCOM. The Handl Defense Mk 17 – AK trigger module was designed with, tested by, and intended for members of Special Operations Command. With this public release, it is now available for civilian purchase. It is another Handl Defense product highlighting our unique capability to expand the performance of the FN SCAR® and Mk 17 type rifle.
