SSRI’s and the 2nd Amendment
The United States is a constitutional republic, where individual rights are protected from the collective. The underpinning of our nation is government exists to protect rights. If the government is not, people get rid of it, in part or whole, every 2, 4, 6, or 8 years.
It is well known that American citizens have clear right to self-defense. Be it from the criminal or an aggressor, the right to keep and bear arms “shall not be infringed”. What is not as well known is that citizens have a “right” to revolution. The Declaration of Independence states “whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it”. This is obviously an absolute a last resort as “prudence will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes”. Without the 2nd Amendment, this would be impossible.
In light of the last President’s use of government power to destroy his political opposition’s way of life clearly shows, the subject is still highly relevant. His “usurpations , all having in direct object the establishment of tyranny “ is exactly why we separated from the crown in the first place. If you did not live in abject fear of the last administration, or the other 2016 option, you were not paying attention.
We all know too well the previous President’s abuse of power and surreptitious efforts to undermine and destroy the right of self-protection. Recent active shooter events, such as Parkland, highlight the threat the right of self-protection is still under.
Emotional cliques of self-righteous apparatchiks have been clogging the airwaves and state houses. They stem from the closed loop Maoist Cultural revolution that has taken place in our universities, courts, and media. They see these societal systems not as distant ideological bubbles, but as daily reality. They falsely see Russia or China in the twenties in the United States. Where conditions are right; the masses are ready to rise against the oppression of whatever traditional cultural structure is convenient. Where eventually no traditional cultural structure exists, replaced by their ideological fabrications.
As Nazi propagandist Goebbels said “To conquer a nation, one must first disarm its citizens by re-inventing their collective memory of the past”. The American Neo-Marxist has much in common with the genocidal socialist 20th century regimes in Germany, Russia, and China.
But a lasting societal change can only be brought about if these elements are concentrated together in a form which could provide conscious direction. This could only be done by the American Neo-Marxists developing a cohesive narrative. So that they might whip the frothed hysterical masses forward on the contrived perception of reality. Regardless of legal precedent or substantiated fact, they use their societal power to feed this narrative to the media indoctrinated Proletariat in the form of political and social activism.
Mao Zedong wrote “Our principle is that the Party commands the gun, and the gun must never be allowed to command the Party.” That is the target of the American Neo-Marxist, the gun, your gun. Enter the targeted traditional cultural structure and the mechanism to attack it. The right of self-protection and school shootings.
As a father and a solider trained in Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection, the abhorrent lack of physical security at our schools is inexcusable. They are soft targets without basic security measures found in airports and banks. School boards, teachers unions, and their political overlords should be held liable for the overt negligence displayed. We have a reasonable expectation that our children will be safeguarded when placed in their care. Every single school shooting surviving family should be litigating the appropriate school board for maximum damages. This particular subject needs a much deeper future exploration.
One thing the American Neo-Marxist movement has been very effective at has been setting up a situation where disaster will happen and then publically profiting from the event. Our schools purposeful lack of physical security measures and school shootings are an object lesson in leftist political and social activism profiteering.
Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors or SSRI’s are the left’s “tip of the spear” in the “re-inventing the collective memory of the past”.
Kendrex J. White, Myron May, Aaron Ybarra, Jose Reyes, Sean Johnson, Christian Helms, Hammad Memon, Jesus “Jesse” Carrizales, Steven Kazmierczak, Felicia McMillan, Asa Coon, John Odgren, Travis Roberson, Alvaro Rafael Castillo, William Barrett Foster, Jeff Weise, Jon Romano, William Michael Stankewicz, Cory Baadsgaard, Jason Hoffman, Elizabeth Bush, Richard Lopez, T.J. Solomon, Eric Harris, Dylan Klebold, Shawn Cooper, Kip Kinkel, Toby R. Sincino, Stephen Leith, Calvin Charles Bell, Laurie Wasserman Dann are some people who have conducted attacks on schools in the last 25 years.
What they had in common was not the weapon, since edged or blunt weapons were often used. What they had in common was the anti-depressants they were using. Since SSRI’s were released in the 1990’s there has been a correlated increase in schools targeted by violence.
SSRI’s function by increasing the level of the neurotransmitter serotonin. By reducing serotonin reabsorption between the gaps between nerves (synapses) it allows for better impulse transmission across the nerve cells. There are many researchers who believe that an imbalance in serotonin levels may lead to depression. Antidepressant medications are prescribed to decrease the symptoms of depression and to reduce the possibility of suicide. However, these medications have risks. For some patients, these risks far outweigh the benefits. This also happens for more patients than we realize.
Often a depressed person on antidepressants is suicidal. If a patient is not depressed and taking antidepressants for other reasons, they can become suicidal. There is evidence that SSRI use equates to a higher risk of suicide than individuals whose depression is easing for other reasons.
Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) are the best source of data on the effects of a drug. Several reviews and analysis of RCTs have evaluated this issue. A group of European studies (70 trials) showed that SSRIs in comparison with placebo increase aggression in children and adolescents. (95% CI 1.62 to 4.81) (BMJ 2016; 352:i65.).
In a systematic review of placebo-controlled trials in adult healthy volunteers, it was shown that antidepressants double the occurrence of events that the FDA has defined as possible precursors to suicide and violence. As the risks of antidepressants first became clear in 2004. The FDA issued a warning that Anti-Depressants will increase suicidal thoughts and behaviors in children and adolescents. Fergusson et al., in 2005, reviewed all published 702 RCTs, which included 87,650 patients, comparing SSRIs with placebo or other antidepressants. Almost a 200% increase in the odds of suicidal attempts, but not in completed suicides, were found in SSRI users.
My theory on why this is happening. Antidepressant drug levels have to build up to a point where they are effective (loading dose). There has to be high enough levels of the drug to have the desired effects (therapeutic dose). There can be a substantial delay before noticeable improvements (therapeutic levels) occur. This means the drug is present but not effective. While this gap is being crossed, during build up or missed doses, it is possible that suicidal impulses and energy for suicidal actions increase.
There is evidence that SSRIs in some patients might be a severe risk for violence or suicidal acts. Undiagnosed Type II bipolar disorder, hypomania, may be present in patients with depression. Recent studies suggest that SSRI’s in patients with undiagnosed bipolar disorder may cause severe agitation and impulsive actions, and exacerbate psychosis. This would result in an increased risk of suicidal acts. Down regulation which is the nerve cell making less serotonin or increases in other neurotransmitters such as norepinephrine are also possibly in play.
The Pharmaceutical companies have known for some time that these drugs carry risks. Psychiatrists and Psychologists know these drugs are more violate in children and young adults. School boards and their mental health staff know of these risks. They allow these children to be fully integrated into the regular school population. They would much rather leave your children at risk rather than isolate a potential threat to safety. They are all culpable.
We are playing games by possibly chemically hardwiring suicidal people to go on murderous rampages. The left would rather use this risk to your children to attack your rights. This is why the left deflects from the SSRI issue, even though it is the only common denominator in so many of the mass shootings. The next time a school is attacked look for the evidence of Anti-Depressants.
Schools left defenseless. Children killed by drug deranged suicidal killers. While Pharmaceutical companies, school boards, and child psychologists’ rake in more money. So Media Elites can preach, useful idiots can Pavlovian virtue signal, Marxist groups can fundraise, and leftist politicians can grandstand about more laws that will do nothing. All so that they can destroy your right of self-defense. Remember that is the target of the American Neo-Marxist, the gun, your gun. They do not like your right of self-defense. They abhor the thought of an armed people justly rising against a tyrannical socialist government.
Mao Zedong said “Political power flows from the barrel of a gun”. The leftist billionaires, their media minions, and education underlings will use a mess of their own creation and as many dead children as necessary to take yours away. Join and donate to a pro-2nd Amendment group today.
